Inspired by nature, life and times, realized in the finest materials and detailed workmanship...

Tellurus (a name derived from "Tellus") is Jasmin Lee's collection of handcrafted jewellery inspired by the Roman equivalent of the earth goddess, Gaia. After all, it is from the earth that inspiration and raw materials drawn, and it is the beauty and diversity of nature that so delights each of our senses. Jasmin creates what she loves, and loves what she creates.

Jasmin's background is in communications and electronic media, and after spending several years co-founding a web agency and managing its online projects, she left the corporate world in need of some me-time and creative balance.

Little knowing that one of her "secret ambitions" (she still harbours a few) would soon come to fruition, she started out making gifts for friends and family. And as the obssession with beads and gems grew, it was only a matter of time before she decided to share her work with the world by opening a shop on Etsy, a marketplace for independent artists. Tellurus handcrafted jewellery can be purchased from our Etsy shop (you will need to register as a member of Etsy) or from our own online jewellery boutique (no registration required).

Jasmin is a hands-on person who currently works on all aspects of the business from creative concepts and production to photography, customer service, sourcing for supplies, website design and maintenance and administrative tasks. She swears by this quote from Catherine Pulsifer - "If you love what you do, then it is no longer work. The money you earn is secondary when you love your work. Money can never buy happiness, or peace of mind."

Calling herself a Lifelong Learner, Jasmin is passionate about nature, history, travel and yoga. Photography is her other greatest love, which she hones while shooting product pics and travel mementos. You can check out her Flickr photostream here.

And, after reading this, if you want to get to know her even more, just visit one of her personal blogs or Twitter.
