I would've liked to keep it, but sold this oxidised Botswana agate necklace a few months back. Carol, the lovely buyer, had already left me some wonderful feedback then. But yesterday, I was pleasantly surprised to find a convo from her:
"I just had to write and tell you that this necklace that I bought from you (Earthly Treasures) is my actual favorite piece of jewelry. The stones are just gorgeous and the way you put them together is versatile and perfect. Honestly, if I had to pick one piece of jewelry to keep and give away all the rest (grandmother's pearls, $3000 designer original rose gold and madeira citrine ring, countless beautiful handmade items), I would choose this necklace. And I really have a LOT of jewelry!
Goes with everything, subtle but colorful, stones you can stare into like so many crystal balls, great fidget toy (I have to double it when I wear it to work so I don't annoy people), earthy and sparkly and classic and funky and delightful.
Just can't say enough! Feel free to quote me. :-)"
Can't begin to describe when I receive comments like this. When I see a returning customer, or one who still talks about a past purchase, I feel humbled and proud at the same time. That's what I believe art is about - getting a reaction from someone who may have been moved by the same beauty, or perhaps a different aspect they appreciated, and who is then inspired by your interpretation.
