Part of, at least. Seeing as I first hatched this idea about 2 months ago, you probably now have an idea of how badly I get distracted on a day-to-day basis, and how I can't really sit down and give myself a plan or deadlines. I guess I like to do things spontaneously - but only where creating is concerned.

The Greyscale Collection is just a loosely put together series of limited edition monochrome pieces in black, white and perhaps a few shades in between, featuring some of the lovely vintage beads I got a few months ago. There are a couple more pieces planned - we'll see... Some of these pieces are kind of fancier than what I usually do. I don't know - I felt like recreating some of the old-fashioned glam sans the frilly and fussy feeling that comes with clusters and sparklies and stuff. I hope you like:

At this point I just wanted to share some of my heartache yesterday: Those lonely little stick pearl earrings (aptly titled Still Standing) are what's left of 2 pairs that I had prepared and was about to oxidise when I dropped one of them and the pearl snapped. It's saddening because it's so hard to find matches for stick pearls - they come in all sorts of lengths, shapes and thicknesses. I'd barely gotten over that when I found that 2 pairs of earrings featuring the most scintillating Swarovski baroque briolettes in Comet Argent Light had gotten damaged during the oxidisation process. I mean, I have done the exact same things to the Twilight Earrings and those came out OK, but this was just too painful. And they were so darned lovely too! Maybe I'll wear them and nobody'll notice coz they're so shiny anyway.

Well, I guess it's been a somewhat productive week where I literally holed myself up at home. I hope to be working on non-earring pieces next week; I'm utterly sick of earrings now.
