So this is my Queen Mab bracelet I started last week and haven't touched since Saturday. As you can imagine, it's incredibly tiring and repetitive. I can't do more than 1-1.5" at one sitting.
Composed of 4mm pink amethyst, green amethyst (prasiolite), iolite, labradorite and silver-grey freshwater pearls. Thanks to Etsy, I found Delias Thompson, a metal artist who also supplies the handcrafted 26 gauge sterling silver ball-end headpins I used. Now I know what to do with all the tiny gemstone rondelles I got!

Time consuming for sure! THIS will be a pretty, pretty bracelet in the end and it ought to cost an arm and a leg for all that work! More power to you girl!
I need to be getting on over to delia's store now and buying me some of those tiny little headpins! Maybe she even has 28 gauge! - @ 30 August 2007 at 04:41 Steph said...

Gorgeous!
I did a necklace with a whole lot of itty-bitty wire wrapping and by the time I was done, I was ready to quit jewelry-making altogether.
More power to you!
