First I must apologise if the sight of my face up here gave you a rude shock (I hate seeing it so big myself). But this is really a big shoutout to the lovely Jo Tubb of Gemheaven. I think we first "knew" each other on Flickr but more recently we've been hanging out on Plurk, where Jo works her excellent sense of humour and genuinely warm personality :)

I first saw a set of commissioned rainbow moonstone studs in her Flickr photo stream and thought hey, these are exactly what I'd wear (me being a fan of non-fussy designs in neutral colours and all). Next thing I know, she's making me a set and sending it to me for my birthday! How sweet is that!!! *tears*


Do have a look at her Etsy shops too - gemheaven and jelli - I particularly love these chalcedony earrings plus the lampwork bracelets are exquisite. Jo is so shockingly productive that she manages loads of new pieces each week whilst juggling her family and job. That's bordering on heroic if you ask me... I really admire women who do that (and I know there are lots out there!)... and that's why she rawks! w00ts!
