In the early part of this week I was busy with a few commissioned items (in fact one is still being oxidised as I type). But in the past 2 days, I've been feeling strangely exhausted, especially after yoga. Heck. I thought it was supposed to energise you, but lately all I've been feeling is even more fatigued. I guess I'm in trouble. Like I said, I think my qi is blocked. It's making me feel tense and restless but damn lethargic at the same time.

I have been thinking of taking a short break from jewellery... I don't know. In terms of productivity, I've been at it for about 2 months, and that's a long time for me because I can't stick to one thing too much. So while I do have several ideas and rough sketches ready, I'm finding it difficult to bring myself to action. Maybe I should do other stuff, like tidy up my disgusting workspace, fix the loose ends in my shop, or finish up my Venice photos (which would finally make the entire Italy collection complete!).

the Tesoro bangle
Anyway, here is my piece of the week: a 14K goldfilled bangle studded with gems in various colours and textures. As you can tell, the possibilities for this kind of bracelet - which takes its name from the Italian word for "treasure" - are virtually endless. And what fun it would be to wear a few of them stacked! Working with heavy-gauge goldfilled wire is quite painful if any of it goes to waste, which is why I seldom do it. Furthermore, I did the bracelet without any prior sketch or measurements, so it was quite a hands-on exercise. It is one of a kind though, and has been listed in my Etsy shop at a lower-than-usual rate, if you should be interested :)

Have a good weekend!

You don't need to be taking a break from it NOW!! Not now when you seem to be on a damn good roll!! I mean, look at that bracelet Jasmin. And look at what you've produced in just the last little while. They all are just awesome! There's nothing else like this bracelet out there, nothing! It's totally unique and cool and sparkly and colorful and amazing!! But I guarantee you there will be because imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, right? Everyone will be trying to make one similar, but I guarantee nobody will do it better than you, my queen!!

:D

But I am sooo tired, Ginger.... it's really eating into my concentration. I can't finish what I set out to do. I have different piles of beads on my work desk meant to go into various pieces I've been planning in my mind but well, they've not moved. Thank you so much for your lovely, lovely comments here and on Flickr. I appreciate them a lot!

Before I read Ginger's response I was screaming those same things in my mind! You jewelry has been awe inspiring to me lately. You sense of design is unique and so chic. If you take a break, make sure you keep good sketches. I wish your ideas would come to my mind!

Sometimes we all need to take a break. If that is what you need, I am sure you will come back with even more enthusiasm and creativity.
